GYTA / GYTS — Stranded Loose-Tube Optical Cable
A high-strength armored backbone cable built for ground-mounted PV and long-distance lines in harsh terrain.
GYTA/GYTS is a stranded loose-tube optical cable: G652D single-mode fibers are housed in loose tubes that are stranded around a central strength member, then wrapped in an aluminum-tape (GYTA) or steel-tape (GYTS) armor with water-blocking yarn and a PE outer sheath. The metal armor and water-blocking construction give the cable strong crush, moisture, and rodent resistance, making it suitable for direct burial and long, harsh-terrain runs.
